Photo: Gov. Fayose and former Gov. Fayemi shake hands in public
This is an epic photo really because the current governor of Ekiti state Ayo Fayose & his predecessor Kayode Fayemi have been accusing each other of misappropriation of state government funds and other accusations. But when the two men met at the 60th birthday service of another former Ekiti state governor, Segun Oni, they surprised everyone by not only shaking hands but also exchanging pleasantries while their wives look on.
It's easy to trash people when they are not around you...but when you come face to face with them, it's a different story.

10 Most Popular Celebrities Who Made It Without University Degrees - Celebrities
This piece is not aimed at discrediting any of these stars, neither is it aimed at encouraging people not to acquire university education.
These stars haven't acquired university degrees or their equivalent. Some were at the university but had to drop out due to reasons best known to them.
But their inability to successfully acquire a degree in any discipline hasn't prevented them from climbing to the top of their chosen careers.
Most of them speak fluent English, even more than some of their colleagues that are graduates, not to talk of those that are half baked graduates that can't express themselves in simple but correct English.
With the way some of these stars carry themselves and also comport themselves, you wouldn't know that they are not yet graduates without being told.
It's necessary to point out that the value of higher education cannot be over emphasised. Education is a desideratum and these stars are aware of it too.
Interestingly, even though they have made it without possessing higher degrees, they still appreciate the value of education and still have the desire to go back to school some day.
Talents may not be enough; so it's still good to pursue higher education while maximising one's talent. For the fact that it worked out for them even without acquiring university degrees or its equivalent, doesn't mean it may work out for others. So higher education is still a desideratum.
With the high rate of unemployment in the country, talent becomes a tool for self empowerment for some people after graduation.
Here are top entertainers that have been able to make it even without university degrees or its equivalent.
1 GENEVIEVE NNAJI
She is a super star, classy, hot and beautiful. No doubt, she's vividly intelligent too and has a very good command of the English language. But Ms Nnaji hasn't been able to acquire a Tertiary education, even several years after saying that she would go back to school. Although it is not late yet.
Below is an excerpt from her interview years ago where she spoke about her educational background:
Let’s have your bio-data. People don't seem to know much about you?
"I’m from Aboh-Mbaise in Imo State. I went to Kemistar Nursery and Primary School, Surulere; Methodist Girls High School, followed by one in Ikeja. I kept on moving. But ended up at Girls Secondary School, Akwakuma in Owerri, Imo State.
Why have you not furthered your education?
Life is not the same for everybody. Some people are so lucky, they come out of secondary school and they go straight to university because they have the back-up of people and it’s so easy. It looks simple…mine was different. But I’m determined. Definitely, I’m gonna go back to school. I wanted to make money, I love my money, I cherish my own money. So, I will go back when I’ve made enough. But even while I’m there, I won’t stop working.
2 MERCY JOHNSON
She's the hottest and most sought after actress at the moment in Nollywood. She is intelligent, speaks fluently and delivers her roles flawlessly. But Mercy dropped out from the university to concentrate on her chosen career. She however expressed her desire to go back to school soon.

Growing Up & education tell me about your childhood. What was growing up like?
I was a tomboy. I am the fourth child from a family of seven children. The first four are girls and the last three are boys so I actually moved a lot with my brothers, climbing trees and stuff like that. We didn’t get everything we wanted but we got everything we needed. I’m from a very humble background, a Christian family. My Dad is an ex-military officer and we basically grew up in a Military environment. I attended Navy Primary and Secondary Schools until I went to the Lagos State University before I deferred.
What were you studying at the University and why did you choose to defer your studies?
I was studying English and I deferred at the time I was moving to my 200 Level. I was sort of very busy with my career, acting here and there, making money and it got into my head. But I’d love to go back to school.
To Lagos State University?
No. I’d love to take up some acting lessons or study a course in Acting since that is what I’m into.
Your profile on Wikipedia says you got into acting because you failed your University Entrance Examinations. Also, there were some reports about you leaving school because you weren’t so good with your academics. Are these reports true?
I banged my JAMB, yeah that is true. I had to write JAMB twice. But it is not true that I wasn’t good with my academics. I didn’t have issues with passing my exams at school.

Have you read that right, you wonder? Isn’t it always the other way around? Men are traditionally always called the unfaithful ones and the ones most likely to cheat. But there isn’t any rule in the book that says women won’t do it too. They are probably just more subtle or selective about it. Unlike men, with women it isn’t so much an ego boost or a way of reassuring themselves of their sexual prowess. With women the motivations are often far more complex, but of course, no less inexcusable.
Why Do Women Cheat? And Are There Some Women More Prone To Cheating Than Others?
1. The Thrill-Seeker
There are some women who cheat just for the adventure and the sheer high they get from it. This kind of woman usually craves the variety and excitement of one-night stands or short-term affairs. She gets easily bored with the routine and the predictable and loves to live life a little dangerously. That includes seeking a little loving on the side.
2. The Beauty Queen
This kind of woman may not actively seek to stray. The opportunities just keep presenting themselves. She is extremely attractive and sensuous, and somehow men get drawn to her despite themselves and against their better judgment. And of course, it doesn’t seem to matter to either party that one or the other is in a committed relationship.
3. The Insatiable
There are some women who just aren’t content with the physical side of their relationships. They are never satisfied with their sex lives, or in some cases their partners fail to show enough interest in them. Either way they are left wanting. And this drives them to other men’s arms, in an effort to seek pleasure and satisfy their innermost desires.
4. The Cheating Addict
And then there’s the woman for whom cheating is an addiction as sure as others are addicted to alcohol. By cheating, she reassures herself that she is still attractive and men find her desirable. Or she has had an insecure or unpleasant childhood; or an early adulthood which has left its mark on her. As a result of which she finds it hard to commit to a relationship and trust her instincts. By cheating, she knows where she's at and is in control of the situation, while keeping her emotions intact.
5. The Unfulfilled Woman
This woman is deeply dissatisfied with her current relationship. She is either deprived of attention from her current partner, or is being neglected and needs to be reassured of her feminine attributes. Or she's just plain lonely and needs to be held, which often leading to intimacy and an affair .
6. The Tit-For-Tat Woman
And then there’s the woman who knows she’s being cheated upon and in her hurt and anger she feels it's payback time. And so decides to hit back in the same measure. Having done that, she realizes it’s not so bad after all and figures two can play the same game. If you are in a relationship with this kind of a woman, and have just discovered she’s cheating on you, you have to figure out your stake in the relationship. And what, if any, is your contribution to her straying.
If you realize that you have let her down with your neglect, or possibly lack of attention, sexually or otherwise, you are right in feeling that cheating does not justify it. You will have to decide, whether or not there are reasons behind her cheating on you, if you would like to work through it. Or if it is a chronic problem and you can never trust her again, whether you want out.

Barrister Tokunbo Wahab along with ten other aspirants has expressed his displeasure about the manner in which the governorship primaries which took place today at Onikan have been conducted.
The primary election and the process that goes with it were shrouded in secrecy and unprecedented bare-faced irregularities.
In the words of the aspirant, if APC, a party in the fore front of the Change Movement could subject itself to a shoddy, suspicious preparation, what then is the moral justification for blaming INEC regarding the flop in the Voter Registration and PVC distribution in Lagos State?
He stated emphatically that his position and that of the 10 aspirants have been consistent in the last few weeks from various consultative meetings. These include:
- Provision of adequate notice should be given to all aspirants prior to the primaries as provided by party and INEC constitutions and
- that delegates' list should be provided to all well before time as well.
He said, *my agent did not receive the so-called list until early hours of this morning*. As at today, even as the charade referred to as Primaries was going on, it was not clear if we were using the 20 LGAs or 57LGA and LCDAs.
"We made our position known to the national leadership yesterday and we only attended today to observe and possess proofs of various irregularities."
How Robbers Exposed Police Inspector’s Illegal Duty In Ondo
ELEMOSHO—For leading an illegal duty, a Police Inspector and three other police officers are in soup in Ondo state Police Command.
The four police officers with two drivers and a cash officer are being detained and quizzed for embarking on an illegal duty by escorting a bullion van conveying an unspecified amount belonging to a new generation bank, penultimate Thursday, from one of its branches in Ondo town to its headquarters in Akure, when the hoodlums struck.
The two drivers drove the bullion van and the escort vehicle while the cash officer is a staff of one the bank.
Vanguard gathered that the suspects may have been embarking on such illegal duties before now to make brisk business until nemesis caught up with them.
The bullion van is marked Lagos FST 945 AL, while the escort vehicle has registration number PF 344 SPY.
It was also gathered that the four policemen who embarked on the illegal duty without official approval from the operation unit of the command, are currently being detained and interrogated for conspiracy in the robbery incident which took place at Elemoso village, Ondo East Local Government area of the state.
Dismisssed officers
If culpable, the four police officers may face orderly room trial and may be dismissed from the force before they are prosecuted.
A top Police source said “On a good day, whenever banks want to convey money from one town to the other, they usually write to the operations unit of the state police command and eight policemen would be approved for them.”
However, only four policemen escorted the bullion van last Thursday, which fuelled suspicion of conspiracy. The State Police Commissioner, Isaac Eke confirmed that the command smells conspiracy as the policemen who escorted the van were on illegal duty.
Eke told Vanguard that the suspects failed to follow the due process before escorting bank bullion van, even as it was said that they did not fire a single bullet when the robbers waylaid them.
It was learnt that the policemen fled the scene of the robbery immediately the robbers double-crossed them and fired volleys of gunshots.
Their desperate bid to make quick money for the weekend that fateful day may not only cause them their jobs but send them behind bars. It was gathered that the mobile policemen deployed to the scene of the robbery fished out the suspects while combing the bushes in the village where they fled to.
The bullion van and the escort vehicle were riddled with bullets, while their tyres were deflated by gun shots fired by the robbers.
Speaking to Vanguard, some of the villagers said the robbers were trailing the bullion van from Ondo town until it got to the village where some speed breakers were made before attacking the van and the escort police vehicle.
Escort police vehicle
According to one of the villagers who pleaded anonymity, “a red car pretended to overtake the bullion van while it slowed down because of the speed breakers, only to double cross it and fired volleys of gun shot into the air and on the two vehicles.”
Confirming the arrest of the seven suspects including the four policemen, the state Command image maker, Wole Ogodo said the suspects are helping the command on the investigation.
Ogodo said: “The four of our men that escorted the bullion, the cash officer and the two drivers that drove the bullion van are already with us to help us in the investigation that is already ongoing.
“We will do everything possible to get to the root of the matter and as I am talking to you right now, the Officer in charge of the State Anti Robbery Squad has gone to Bolorunduro where the incident happened as part of the ongoing investigation.”
However, a school proprietor, in the area, who was driving a Sienna bus marked OSUN AA 733 FTD was shot in the eye, when he attempted to make a u-turn at the scene of the robbery.
Sources said the robbers after carting the large sum of money, escaped in their car through a village to Ile-Oluji.

Singer 9ice reacts to reports he lost out at APC Primary election
Singer turned politician 9ice has reacted to reports he crashed out at the recent APC Primary election. In a report on Sunnewsonline today, the reporter wrote;
Another celebrity-entertainer who lost out, after being widely considered as ‘the chose one’ is Abolore Akande, aka, 9ice. He vied for the ticket to represent Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal Constituency of Oyo State under the platform of APC. It was still not yet clear what really went wrong as at press time.
9ice has slammed the report, denying he's crashed out. Find his press statement after the cut...
9ice Refutes The Sun Report on Primary Election Crash out
I-Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ICE hereby debunk the news being published in THE SUN by Ckuks Eze today 5th December that I am no longer in the race to contest for the APC ticket as an aspirant for the House of Reps in Ogomosho South, North and Orire Federal Constituency as a blatant lie. I suspect he has been bribed by my opponents to rubbish my efforts. It is a joke of the century and a plan by enemies and killers of good dream. I am very much in the race and with you support and prayers, success is certain.
Signed: Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande
