Atiku Commends Obasanjo For Forgiving Him

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has welcomed the olive branch extended to him by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness in the interest of national
unity.
In a statement issued by his media office in Abuja Monday, Atiku said “forgiveness is divinely inspired and is an oil that lubricates the wheels of continued human interactions and engagements”.
The former Vice President commended Obasanjo, his “former boss for taking this bold and Godly step in the interest of the nation and humanity”.
Information Nigeria earlier reported that Obasanjo had while reacting to a request by the Northern Youth Leadership Forum, NYLF, on Sunday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, that he should forgive his former vice-president of whatever sin or offence he committed, said he had forgiven Atiku. Obasanjo replied that though he had no grudge against anyone including Atiku, but quickly added that if there was any, “I have forgiven all as a father”.
According to Atiku, the process of national healing and reconciliation should advance to a new level and extend to other citizens of our great nation, who may have had grievances against one another. He urged politicians to learn from the words of Mahatma Ghandi that an eye for an eye will make our nation go blind.

“When I made a similar effort few years ago, it was on the conviction that it would not be beneficial to me before Allah, if I went to the grave with bitterness. Let us forgive one another so that we can team up for national rebirth”, Atiku urged Nigerians. He maintained that even if one disagrees with Obasanjo, no one would doubt his firm commitment to the unity of Nigeria.

Top 26 Nollywood Stars Whose Marriages Have Stood The Test Of Time

In an industry where divorce and separation seem to be rampant, it seems good to celebrate some Nollywood stakeholders whose marriages seem to have stood the test of time. This is because the media have celebrated the frequent marriage crashes in Nollywood more than the way they have celebrated the ones that have been intact for years.
Nevertheless, there are divorces and separations everywhere, but those of entertainers attract much attention because they are in the limelight. It's also necessary to note that there is nothing like a perfect marriage.
Here is a list of some Nollywood top stakeholders whose marriages have stood the test of time. The list is in no particular order. I painstakingly came up with this compilation. Your contributions and comments are Welcomed.

1) Olu Jacobs and Joke Silver:

The two are celebrity couples and they have been married for so many years and they inspire younger actors with their marriage.

2) Omotola Jolade Ekeinde and Matthew :

Next on the list is Omotola whose marriage to her hubby just clocked 18 years.
Despite the scandals and rumours associated with the entertainment industry, they have been able to weather the storm of marital life.

Omotola and husband Captain Mathew Ekeinde recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.

The star actress gave a shout out to her husband on instagram this with a video tagged with a special message. See the message below...

"18 years , still like we dating babe... Nice and easy... My best friend ... Funny, annoying, caring, workaholic...We still here babe, you're still the one!#happymarriageanniversary"

3) Zack and Ngozi Orji:
Zack and Ngozi met in Enugu many years back when Ngozi was still a student at the Institute of Management and Technology. Ngozi is also an actress.Apart from acting, the duo are also into music and are blessed with three children, Emeka Lionel Orji, Princess Laura Chiamaka and Michelle Chidimma Orji. Zack in an interview with a weekly magazine said that their marriage has survived because of their maturity and understanding adding,to the fact that they did not get married in Nollywood. He said trust has been the rock of their marriage and he has never felt jealous anytime she plays love roles because she is only doing her job. The same goes with Ngozi who says she doesn't feel jealous her hubby cuddling another woman in the movie.

Not even the rumoured relationship between Zack and a Ghanaian minister's wife, which Zack vehemently refuted thus “Over my dead body! I won’t ever do a dirty thing like that. Selasi is someone my wife knows very well, they met in Ghana and she knows there was nothing else between us aside the business we both executed.” could separate them.

4) Omoni Oboli and Nnamdi:

Actress Omoni Oboli and her husband, Nnamdi Oboli has been married for 14 years now and they have in many ways become a reference point to other actresses who rush in and rush out of marriage.
In a previous interview Omoni said she has no plans for divorce
" Marriage to anybody is to understand the responsibility that comes with it. In my marriage, there’s no plan B; no thoughts about divorce. The fact that he isn’t a celebrity is not what makes him a great husband, it’s just who he is".

5) Regina Askia Williams:

Regina askia sacrificed her fame and acting career for marriage to American Rudy Williams. The couple is blessed with 2 kids together. Regina got married to Rudy since 2000, they separated at a point in their marriage but later got back together. Who would have thought that Regina would stay in a man's house for like 13 years? This is inspiring.

6) Rita Tony Edochie -

Rita has been married to Pete Edochie's brother, Tony for many years.
Here her words in a recent interview:

"My name is Rita Tony Edochie. I am an actress, a proud mother of four (two boys and two girls). One of my daughters is married now. I am also a proud grandmother and by the grace of God my home is intact. Some people have this notion that I am a divorcee but I can proudly tell you that I am not and I can never be, because I got into my husband’s house to live and not to stay. I give all glory to God for that."

7) Ramsey Noah and Emilia:

Nouah is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah. The couple have two sons and a daughter, Quincy Camil Nouah, Desiree Nouah and a baby boy. Ramsey has been married for about a decade now.

JTF arrests 2 Britons, 12 Nigerians for illegal bunkering

Operatives of the Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta code named Operation Pulo Shield have arrested two Britons and 12 Nigerian technicians over their alleged involvement in illegal bunkering along the Chanomi Creek in the western delta.
The suspects were said to have   offered the operatives of the JTF  the sum of $66,500, to create safe passage for them to siphon crude oil into their barges from a Shell Petroleum Development Company pipeline along the Chanomi creek in Delta State.   But the offer was rejected.

The two Britons identified are Messrs Piers Eastwood and Vincent Haywood attached to a United Kingdom based maritime security firm with regional branch in Lagos, according to the JTF, were to provide security/consultancy to MT Crete, a vessel believed to have positioned at Brass open waters for supposed illegal bunkering.

Trouble, it was learnt, started for the suspects when on March 17, a representative of a firm (name withheld) approached the JTF   Headquarters, with an approval letter from the Nigerian Navy Ship Delta and an authorization from the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC through the Naval Headquarters.
The approval, we learnt, was to evacuate products from an arrested vessel under the custody of the NN at NNS DELTA between 12 March -14 April 2014.

The Joint Task Force approval was reportedly issued and immediately, the headquarters directed Sector 1 of the special security outfit to monitor their activities in the waterways.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday  at the headquarters of the JTF in Yenagoa where the suspects were paraded, the commander of the outfit, Major General Emmanuel Atewe who was represented by the Media  Coordinator, JMCC Col Onyema   Nwachukwu said they were arrested by operatives of the task force as part of ongoing effort to combat the menace of crude oil theft and other sundry crimes in the region.

According to him, “the Operations officer of 3 Battalion discovered through their confession that their intention was to hack into one of SPDC pipelines in Chanomi creek, Warri Delta State and siphon crude oil.
”They gave him as an initial payment, a bribe of $5,000 for recharge card and $1500 to fuel a gunboat that will escort the stolen crude oil.”

According to him, they requested the Operations Officer of 3 Battalion to facilitate a meeting with the Commander 4 Brigade, Brig Gen Fidelis Azinta.

Continuing he said, “the meeting was convened as a bait on March 20, 2014 at the Brigade Commander’s office. During the meeting, the suspects expressed their desire to connect a hose to SPDC pipeline along the Chanomi creek in Delta State so as to illegally siphon crude oil into barges.

”While in the Brigade Commander’s office, they promised to bribe the Brigade’s Commander, with the sum of N20m as well as take care of the officers and soldiers along the Chanomi creek.
”On 21 March   2014, one of the suspects brought to the Brigade Commander $60,000 which translates to N10m being 50 per cent of the N20m promised. The suspects were immediately arrested for attempting to bribe the Brigade Commander for economic sabotage.
”Twelve technicians who were to connect the hoses to facilitate the theft and their implements were also arrested.”
He added that a follow up operation subsequently led to the arrest of two Britons, who were in company of seven Nigeria policemen led by an inspector.

The two Britons, according to the JTF commander were security consultants from a United Kingdom- based port maritime security firm with regional branch in Lagos.

”The two flew into Lagos on 20 March and left for Port Harcourt same day where they met with a Nigerian (one Bello) who was supposed to be their point of contact. The two Britons were to provide security escort/consultancy to MT Crete, a vessel believed to have been positioned at Brass open waters for suspected illegal oil bunkering”.

Gen Awete revealed that all the suspects and exhibits were transferred to JTF headquarters on March 23 for further investigation adding that a joint investigation team was immediately constituted to carry out a preliminary investigation where all the suspects and witnesses were invited and also examined the exhibits, documents and equipment recovered.

This include, the sixty thousand dollars offered to Brig Gen Azinta, the six thousand five hundred dollars offered to Capt M Abdullahi which were displayed to newsmen.
The suspects were later handed over to the Department of State Security for prosecution.

Ekiti doctors threaten strike over poor remuneration

Doctors in the employment of Ekiti State government have threatened to start a warning strike if by Monday, April 7, government refuses to meet their demands. They are complaining among others of what they call heavy taxation on its members by the state government, asking for massive tax reduction. The doctors, under the aegis of Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, called for immediate restoration of the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale to Doctors working at the local government level as applicable to their colleagues at the secondary and tertiary hospitals.
Obimakinde said the union took the decision to embark on warning strike at its Ordinary General Meeting of Thursday, March 27 after government failed to meet their demands despite several meetings with Governor Kayode Fayemi on the lingering crises bedeviling the sector.

Combat stress with good foods

Ours is an age where the word ‘instant’ has become the buzzword. From instant coffee to instant Internet connection, there seems to be no provision for a break.
Pausing for two minutes for the traffic light to wave us on is a bore; cooking wholesome food to make for overall good health is a burden and time-consuming. In fact, taking 30 minutes off for break is unthinkable while at work. As such, we eat while working, all in a bid to meet daily schedules — even if it is at breakneck speed.
Experts describe these activities as stressors — that is, events, experience or activities that cause stress.
Stress has been described as a normal physical response to events that make an individual feel threatened or upset his balance in some way. Experts say when one senses danger — whether it is real or imagined — the body’s defences kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the ”fight-or-flight” reaction, or the “stress response.”
Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. And, sometimes, the level of stress an individual experiences depends on the nature of his job and life’s pursuit. For many people, though, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life.
Psychologists say some stresses get you going and are therefore good for you. In fact, they say, without any stress at all, our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless. However, they are quick to add that when the stresses undermine both a person’s mental and physical health, they are bad. “When you’re constantly running in emergency mode, your mind and body pay the price,” they warn.
The stress response, experts further explain, is the body’s way of protecting a person. When working properly, it helps him to stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save an individual’s life — giving him extra strength to defend himself, or spurring him to apply the brakes to avoid an accident.
According to Helpguide, a non-profit resource that helps to understand, prevent and resolve life’s challenges, “Stress is what keeps you on your toes during a presentation at work, sharpens your concentration when you’re attempting the game-winning free throw, or drives you to study for an examination when you’d rather be watching TV.”
It explains that in general, stress is related to both external and internal factors.
“External factors include the physical environment, including your job, your relationships with others, your home, and all the situations, challenges, difficulties, and expectations you’re confronted with on a daily basis. Internal factors determine your body’s ability to respond to, and deal with, the external stress-inducing factors. Internal factors which influence your ability to handle stress include your nutritional status, overall health and fitness levels, emotional well-being, and the amount of sleep and rest you get.”
Helpguide is of the view that beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to health, mood, productivity, relationships and overall quality of life.
An ex-Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, Adedamola Dada, says long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems.
“Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body,” he warns. “It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process. Long-term stress can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety and depression.”
A medical author, Dr. Melissa Conrad-Stöppler, notes that most people admit that when they are under stress, healthy eating habits can be difficult to maintain. She concludes that whether one is eating to fill an emotional need or grabbing fast food simply because there’s no time to prepare something healthy, a stressed-out lifestyle is rarely a healthy one.
Medical experts also warn that while holding a job can give our lives structure, purpose, and satisfaction through financial income, the workplace can also become a cause of stress and subsequent ill-health, if not well managed.
An epidemiologist at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and University College London, Dr. Marianna Virtanen, in an 11-year study of 600 British civil servants says, in part, that long hours may be associated with work-related stress, which interferes with metabolic processes, as well as ”sickness presenteeism,” whereby employees continue working when they are ill.
Virtanen and his team published their findings in the European Heart Journal.
Indeed, medical practitioners say, the longer the hours an individual works, the more exposed he is going to be to the problem of ill-health occasioned by work-related stress.
In his reaction to the study, a professor of clinical pharmacology at the University of Glasgow’s Western Infirmary, Gordon McInnes, says, “If the effect is truly causal, the importance is much greater than commonly recognised. Overtime-induced work stress might contribute to a substantial proportion of cardiovascular disease.”
Dada, in his assessment of the situation, says those prone to work stress are those who don’t rest. Localising the situation, Dada says Nigerians, especially Lagos residents, don’t rest. “They wake up early, go through the terrible hold-ups to and from work, arrive home late, have little or sometimes no sleep, before hitting the road again at the break of dawn. Such a lifestyle is definitely stress-inducing.”
A professor of medicine and clinical pharmacology, Abdulfatai Mabadeje, says the category of workers that are likely to suffer work-related stress are those who have to meet certain deadlines. These, he says, include journalists, bankers, doctors and nurses, among others.
Asked how the symptoms of stress are manifested, Dada says the manifestations are different among individuals, but that medical and physical examinations will reveal an individual’s stress level as well as the environmental factors responsible.
He says the signs and symptoms to look for when talking of stress overload include memory problems, inability to concentrate, poor judgment, seeing only the negative, anxious or racing thoughts and constant worrying. “All these fall under cognitive symptoms,” he says.
He explains further, “Emotional stress symptoms include moodiness, irritability or short temper, agitation, inability to relax, feeling overwhelmed, sense of loneliness and isolation, depression or general unhappiness
“Physical symptoms include aches and pains, diarrhoea or constipation, nausea, dizziness, chest, pain, rapid heartbeat, loss of sex drive and frequent colds.
“Behavioural symptoms include eating more or less, sleeping too much or too little, isolating  yourself from others, procrastinating or neglecting responsibilities, using alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs to relax, and nervous habits such as nail biting and  pacing.”
To burst stress, Netdoctor, an online publication, recommends the consumption of avocado peas, dark chocolates, broccoli, salmon, tuna, bananas, nuts, oranges, spinach, black tea, warm oatmeal, warm milk, whole-grain breakfast cereals, breads, and pastas, and drinking water at regular intervals. Experts also recommend the good old exercise.
Webmd, another online publication, says a healthy diet can counter the impact of stress, by shoring up the immune system and lowering blood pressure. So, burst your stress by eating aright.

7 Reasons Your Memory Is Bad

You forgot your car keys at home (for the umpteenth time!), you could barely remember what you had for dinner the other night, and you missed your doctor’s appointment (again!). Does this sound like a familiar story to you? If this is how things go almost every single day, then you must be wondering why this is so when you’re barely in your 40s! Contrary to what some people think, poor memory does not always occur during old age. In fact, you’ll be surprised to know that some kids tend to be forgetful at times, and this is certainly not to be taken lightly. So, whether you’re 16 or 60, and you struggle with memory decline, it’s best to know common reasons your memory is bad – and do something to prevent things from getting worse.

The following are some of the typical causes of poor memory among individuals, which may also lead to reduced cognitive functions.

1. Depression
When people are depressed, it may be difficult for them to concentrate and recall things because of their preoccupation with their negative feelings. Unfortunately, no one is exempted from depression, and this can occur even to young children who are frequently exposed to stressful situations. Several instances that can cause people to be depressed include the death of a loved one, lack of appreciation from family members, and a few other reasons.
Negative emotions including anger, fear and anxiety can also add to one’s forgetfulness and inability to concentrate. No matter how hard they try, concentrating and remembering things can be a major challenge because of their fixation with negative emotions and painful situations in their life.

2. Mental Confusion
Most people get into the habit of multi-tasking with the hopes of getting things done as quickly as possible. While this may seem as an exciting and challenging activity for some, it can eventually lead to mental confusion and stress. The moment their mind is overloaded with things to do, it’s possible for them to just lose it and experience mental confusion. With a confused mind, poor memory may arise and the only thing to resolve this is by learning to focus on one thing at a time. Keep in mind that your brain can only handle so much, which means exposure to more ideas can lead to mental pollution. Once this occurs, memory decline may follow because of mental stress.

3. Inability to Express One’s True Emotions
There are individuals who have trained themselves to hide their true feelings out of fear, shame or pride. They tend to neglect the emotional aspect of their life, so they are no longer in touch with their feelings and thoughts. Although this practice helps people perform well in their jobs or studies even when their life is in shambles, this may be causing serious drawbacks to their memory. The brain is made up of two parts – the left and the right. The left portion of the brain governs the logic while the right facilitates artistic and emotional functions.
When one uses both sides of the brain regularly, they are able to obtain a sense of balance in the way they think. This goes without saying that a strong and powerful memory is synonymous with
strengthening both hemispheres of the brain. Hence, it is ideal to develop not only your logic, but
you should also work on improving your creative side. By doing so, you can become a well-rounded person with superb cognitive function.

4. Drug Abuse
Certain drugs are called illegal or illicit for one obvious reason – because they do not serve any function to improving or supporting your excellent health. Unfortunately, there are individuals who get hooked on these drugs after a few tries or experimentation. Once their body has become accustomed to these substances, losing the habit can be a major challenge. Aside from serious physical and psychological issues, drug abuse and addiction can lead to memory decline as these
substances affect the hippocampus or the part of the brain in charge with cognitive functions. As a result, poor memory occurs and worsens unless addressed properly (along with overcoming addiction).

5. Excessive Alcohol Intake
Based on scientific research, too much consumption of alcohol can lead to numerous health issues and mental problems including damages to your retrospective memory. This is responsible for learning and recovery of memories, which prevents you from becoming forgetful. However, alcohol consumption and addiction can lead to periods of blackouts or temporary loss of memory. When the habit of drinking continues, parts of the brain receive less supply of oxygen, specifically areas that contain alcohol. Over time, this condition can cause negative effects on the entire central nervous system. Thiamine is an essential nutrient that is necessary for metabolizing food and converting it into energy. In addition, this B-vitamin is responsible for ensuring the normal functions of your nervous system. According to experts, large amounts of this vitamin is located in your brain, which maintains the production of neurotransmitters that impact your mood, memory, movement and thought. For those who receive insufficient amount of thiamine from
their diet, they are likely to suffer from Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, which is a type of neurological disorder that leads to short-term and long-term memory loss. To prevent this condition, it is important for people to receive the right amounts of thiamine, which is a maximum of 1.2 mg for adults.

7. Lack of Sleep
Sleep helps refresh your body and mind while enabling any necessary repairs of worn out cells and
tissues. In addition, brain waves are created as you sleep, and these are responsible in storing memories to your brain. These brain waves also transfer memories to the prefrontal cortex, which is the section of your brain that stores long-term memories. When you lack enough sleep, memories are unable to move toward the prefrontal cortex, and this leads to forgetfulness and short-term memory loss. Thus, adults should aim to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep to improve their memory and prevent any deterioration of their frontal lobe that can result to cognitive decline. Having a good memory can significantly impact your performance level. Thus, it’s only right to start enhancing your memory by avoiding these factors that can make you more forgetful and function less efficiently.

Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike Resigns

Reports indicates that the minister of state and supervising minister of education, Nyesom Wike has submitted his letter of resignation to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sources reveal to The Paradigm that the minister’s resignation is to enable him pursue his ambition of becoming the next governor of Rivers State after the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

The minister was said to have briefed the President of his intention to contest for the Rivers governorship election in 2015, to which he got the approval of the President to challenge the growing profile of the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.

The resignation which is expected to take effect from April 1, 2014 has gotten the approval of the president.

But another source within the Villa, confirmed that Wike’s resignation will be announced next week Wednesday during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Wike has been in running battle with Governor Amaechi, notorious for using the former Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu, who is a very close ally of the President’s wife, Mrs Patience Jonathan, to attack the interest of the governor.

He was behind the group of five members of the House of Assembly who tried to impeach the Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker, with another ally, Evans Bipi claiming to be the new speaker.

There’s No Gain Without Its Accompanying Pain

For many of us, we seem to have come to the conclusion that the development we want in our country and the subsequent changes we must effect to see it manifest in our time is nothing but wishful thinking. This is evident in the manner in which we tackle many of the challenges that we are faced with daily.

We seem to have so given up on our nation attaining the standards we see in other nations we admire that we go as far as thwarting the good intentions of those who might even consider trying to fix it. What a shame! It’s like throwing in the towel in the fight to reap the fruits of the promised land by convincing ourselves that it is unachievable and then vehemently opposing those who think it is. We not only fight the opponent but turn around to fight the coach and the referee as well!

I have mentioned this in many interviews in the past that I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, but my success in life is greatly based on the fact that I never saw myself as an under-achiever nor a failure. There was this overwhelming enthusiasm in me to strive towards success that I didn’t relax enough to wallow in my immediate and depraved situation at the time. I simply pressed forward towards what I had constantly visualized, and my body and all my efforts were programmed to respond, not to my limiting reality, but to my visualized reality. I wasn’t going to be daunted by the situations and lack that I was experiencing, but my visualized reality was the force that compelled me to achieve the seemingly unreachable goals that I had set before me.

I wasn’t qualified as an actress, but I had the desire, and that desire gave birth to the zeal to train myself in the art so that I can become the actress I am today. When I say I wasn’t qualified, I mean that I wasn’t born acting from my mother’s womb. I didn’t intuitively become an actress. The interest (desire) must first be present, which is then followed by the action (training), and then the fruit of that labour towards the attainment of the objective was made manifest. I was always part of the school and church drama; I never tried to be all things. Meaning, I tried to do sports but realized early my lack of zeal, and hence, my lack of fruit in that area.

I was dedicated to writing, directing and producing drama whilst still in primary and secondary school. My dedication has now been made manifest in the performances that many of you get to watch on your screens globally.

My zeal and dedication would have amounted to nothing if there was no medium to express it. It would have been the case with many people around the world today who have a dream to be recognized for the talent they have been nurturing, but no movie industry to give them the release.

I thank God that while I was busy honing my skills in acting, writing and directing, others were busy preparing the stage for my talent to see the light of day. These are the men who didn’t stop because of their own situations and circumstances and wallow in their misfortune, but they took up the challenge to find newer and more profitable ways to bring this product, today called Nollywood, to the rest of the world. Living In Bondage became the first fruit of that vision and today the rest of us are riding in the wagon because they had the magnanimity to invest their energy into starting the engine. We are on the roll, and gaining momentum daily as the wagon’s engine is being renewed with better and more skillful materials to keep it running, and running faster.

How do we draw a parallel with the complaining attitude of many? We must be clear on what we desire, then we can begin to envision the outcome and begin to set goals that are tailored towards achieving those desires. Success didn’t happen to me overnight (not that it’s impossible), and so we should work hard towards making our dreams come true. There’s no way around hard work, and many times when we do get what we desire without the necessary work, it seems to slip from our hands as easily as it first came.

With hard work, character is also built into the individual, group or nation, because there is also a blessing in the process of attaining our goals. We can sit around and believe enough that it would and could not be possible to see our nation succeed, but others see it. They come in daily to reap from where we as landlords should be reaping. We can fold our hands and point accusing fingers at someone else, blaming them for our woes, or we can begin to train and expand our perspective so that we too can attain to those lofty heights that we have come to envision.

There’s no gain without its accompanying pain. The gain is the anaesthesia that dulls the pain towards attaining it, and the pain is the rock (the strong character) that gives our dreams the needed foundation to build and also appreciate what we have and can accomplish through dedicated effort. I would love to be at the top of my game without any effort, but I’m also aware of the tremendous education that I’ve gotten from the pains I went through and still going through to be at the top of my game.

This zeal becomes contagious so that many other star actors and actresses continue to deliver their best so that they don’t get left behind while others are improving. So it may feel good to get to the top without effort but there’s a good chance that when you do get there, you would feel like an impostor and end up making the mistakes others would recognize form afar, because they went through and welcomed the process of getting there.

So let’s stop the negativity and start seeking the positive things in ourselves and in our nation, knowing that the desire and the effort needed to transform our nation lies solely with us by the grace of God.

Beef Alert! Is Basketmouth Jealous Of P-Square?

Could there be more to Basketmouth's incessant P-Sqaure jokes?
Ace Nigerian comedian Basketmouth is known for his piercing and rib-cracking jokes. From ladies to fellow celebrities, no one is safe from his epic yabs.
At this week's episode of Industry Nite, the rib-cracker went after singing duo P-Square as he questioned their craft and songs. Basketmouth who was joking about how hard comedians have to work compared to musicians used the singing duo as an example and in a completely unguarded moment, the comedian asked:

'Wetin dem dey sing sef?'

This won't be the first time P-Square find themselves as the butt of Basketmouth's jokes as the ace comedian has created a few jokes around them in the past.
With this we can't help but wonder, does Basketmouth have a hidden vendetta against P-Square?
